I'm still plowing through my previous storm chase accounts in the process of consolidating all of them into a new book for the period 2002-2011. I'm currently moving slowly through 2009 as I've had to basically write the narrative from scratch. The 2009 chase book I published using the Blurb.com software tools was mainly a photo volume with captions composed of excerpts from that year's blog posts. The result was okay for a photo book but lousy as a sustained narrative to match up with the rest of the accounts. Now the challenge is to match up this new narrative with the style of the older ones that were written over a period of several years.
What else is a storm chaser to do during the winter?
