Let the convection begin!

Here during - hopefully - Northern Virginia's last major snowstorm of the 2010 winter I have my fingers crossed that the current weather pattern and its abundant moisture will lead to a productive storm chase season both here and in the Alley. Looking back over my chase chronicles there have been several years that I've had a semi-successful Virginia chase during the first half of March. If that is so this year we're only a month away from convective bliss! At any rate March is the time that I'll make a command decision regarding mobile internet access again so I've been reviewing my choices. There are several new options this year and I'm excited to see them. Meanwhile, the snow has to stop soon right? This IS the South!!

Hey man my name is Tyler Talley. I live not to far from you here on lake anna. I just found your blog on accuweather. I've got some pics of a tornado that I took back in 2005 as the remnants of a tropical storm passed through the area. I took 7 pics as the it crossed lake anna from Louisa Co. into Spotsylvania Co. Let me know if you are interested in seeing them. I've lived in this area my whole life and know the roads pretty well. Maybe we could do some chasing in the spring. The past two years have been great for storms in the area hopefully it keeps it up we had golf ball size hail at my house back in 08 and an 80 mph + gust.
