Less than perfect chasing conditions
Well, it's Monday and there was no chasing under today's crapfest of low ceilings and no instability. The only part of Virginia that had any CAPE was at least three hours from here in the southeastern corner of the state, and of course that's where the conditions were that led to the tornadoes in the Hampton Roads area and the Colonial Heights region. At least one chaser got some video of the Suffolk tornado, but I wasn't impressed enough with the forecasts to squeeze out of work and head down there. Not sure when the next opportunity will come around, but it will be May in a couple of days. Who knows?
